Reason assists African governments with negotiating projects in the African Development Bank- based ALSF’s power project portfolio (26 projects, with over 4GW total capacity). He also organises capacity building workshops for African governments on negotiating IPP projects.
Prior to joining ALSF, Reason worked with a leading New York-based commercial and industrial solar power company, where he supported the company’s legal team in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements for the development and acquisition of over 20 commercial solar power projects. He has also worked as a power and infrastructure associate at a top commercial law firm in Nigeria. In this role, he advised sponsors, lenders, and contractors on IPP projects.
Reason holds a Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School. He is admitted to practice law in Nigeria and in the State of New York.
