Sebastian is a trained engineer and renewable energy finance specialist who is heading the Finance Advisory activities at GET.invest. He worked in various management positions such as Managing Director of Orbeo South Africa, a joint venture of Société Générale and Rhodia. Before joining GIZ in 2016, Sebastian was Head of Energy Finance at the Green for Growth Fund, a structured green energy fund implemented by the impact investment firm Finance in Motion. His specific expertise is in small and medium sized renewable energy projects with structured and innovative finance as well as enabling and supportive technical assistance for such projects. He has mainly worked in sub-Sahara Africa, East Asia and Eastern Europe.

Sebastian holds a degree in engineering from the University of Stuttgart and obtained an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.
