Glada has 14 years’ experience in international oil and gas investment and resource governance policy. Working closely with stakeholders in the Middle East, Africa and India, she has helped formulate policy recommendations on sustainable resource strategy and water, food and energy pricing. In 2015, she led the first ever assessment of energy use and delivery in displacement settings as part of the international Moving Energy Initiative. Most recently she has worked on the issue of what global decarbonisation means for oil and gas producers.
Glada has an academic background in Middle East studies, economic development and international relations (School of Oriental and African Studies, UK, London School of Economics, UK & University of Damascus, Syria). She was previously Senior Research Fellow at the Gulf Centre for Strategic Studies (2002-2004) and has worked as an analyst and development consultant for several organizations.
Glada is Chair of the Board of Trustees for Capoeira4Refugees, working to empower vulnerable children in Palestine, Jordan and Syria.
