Starting his professional experience with naval operations and foreign affairs, François turned later to the LNG industry where he held several positions in construction, engineering, and project development roles, with EPC contractors, consultancies, shipowners, and developers. He is today in charge of development & co-venturing for LNG to power projects in Africa with Wärtsilä Energy Business, whose global strategy is to provide gas fired flexible generation as a complement to renewables. Besides a degree in marine engineering and various qualifications as seafarer (Captain) and liquid Gas Tankers, François holds an MBA and an advanced MSc (Eng) in Gas Management & Engineering.
