Following Nigeria’s election, this African Energy online roundtable discussed the new leadership and the potential political fallout and policy shifts.
Co-produced by African Energy and Africa Confidential, the roundtable was chaired by Africa Confidential editor Patrick Smith with key contributions from African Energy’s Jon Marks and guest contributors including:
- Najim Animashaun, a deputy managing director at Dantata Solar who advised NNPC on its structural reforms, leading to the Nigeria Petroleum Industry Act.
- Lai Yahaya, a leading public policy advisor to senior government officials and international donor agencies who has advised multiple energy governance organisations and also worked in the Nigerian presidency under Muhammadu Buhari for the first two years of the administration (2015-2017).
