Caroline’s responsibilities include leading the strategic aspects of the long term and annual planning processes of EPRA’s Renewable Energy Department and providing leadership on research on regulatory issues on renewable energy in the country. She also oversees the formulation, review and monitoring of regulations, standards and codes for the renewable energy sector and ensures compliance and enforcement of regulations through planning and co-ordination of field inspections and compliance audits in collaboration with other technical departments.
Caroline previously worked as a senior projects engineer for Winafrique Technologies. In this position, she designed and assessed costs of renewable energy systems (mostly wind and solar systems), assisted with project implementation, prepared project budgets, ensured projects were executed within the allocated budget and time and handled marketing and customer relations.
Caroline has a Bsc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Nairobi and an MBA (Project Management) from Kenyatta University. She is also a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
