Dafe is a Commissioner (legal, licensing and enforcement) of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), the regulator of the electricity supply industry in Nigeria. In this role, he is primarily responsible for issuing licences to all participants in the Nigerian electricity supply industry, enforcing the provisions of the Electric Power Sector Reform Act and resolving industry complaints and disputes.
Dafe holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Obafemi Awolowo University and is admitted to practice in the Nigerian Bar. He worked with various leading commercial law firms in Nigeria before joining the regulatory services practice at PwC Nigeria in 2005 where he led the practice and was also the general counsel of the firm for Anglophone West Africa. He left PwC in January 2017 to take on the role at NERC.
Dafe is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK).
