Julian has 24 years’ experience in the energy industry, primarily in renewables. He now leads Savannah Energy’s renewable energy division, developing wind and solar projects across Africa with a focus on Savannah’s key markets in Niger, Nigeria, Chad and Cameroon.
Previously, he worked as a consultant advising on the development and financing of wind, solar and battery projects in Senegal, Guinea and Tunisia. He also worked at Lekela, where he oversaw business development in North and Francophone Africa and led Lekela’s investment & financing for the 158.7 MW Taiba NDiaye wind farm in Senegal. Prior to joining Lekela Julian worked for RES Group, on Turkish renewables development, and for Falck Renewables, where he developed and financed wind farms in the UK, Turkey and Poland. Julian started his career in project financing at Société Générale, focussing on petrochemical and LNG projects the Middle East.
