Kishan serves on the boards of the South African Oil & Gas Alliance (SAOGA) – a public private partnership that aims to promote the interests of firms operating within the oil and gas industry in Southern Africa – and on the board of the South African Gas Development Company (SOC) Ltd, also known as IGAS, a subsidiary of the Central Energy Fund. In addition, he leads the Department of Trade, Industry & Competition’s initiatives on local content and supplier development for the oil and gas industry as well as its initiatives with respect to the development of domestic and regional gas markets in Southern and East Africa.

He has a Masters of Commerce Degree in Economics, from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
